About the conference
Premiers from Canada's four western provinces and three northern territories attend the annual Western Premiers' Conference. It is held each spring in one of the member jurisdictions.
In 2009, the conference will take place in Dawson City, Yukon. This is the third time the Western Premiers' Conference has been held in Dawson City. The Yukon government previously hosted the conference in 1996 and 2002.
The conference is supported by the Canadian Intergovernmental Conference Secretariat which serves high level intergovernmental conferences in Canada.
